Ma'arat Sayyidnaya, Damascus - 11 Dec. 2010: Rev. Fr. Mathew Karimpanakkal has been appointed as the new Secretary to His Holiness the Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka-I Iwas for the India affairs. Rev. Fr. Mathew will replace Rev. Fr. Markose Abraham who served His Holiness in this capacity for the last three years. The official communiqué to appoint Rev. Fr. Mathew Karimpanackal (Ajiachan) as H.H's secretary for Indian affairs was issued on 10th December 2010.
Rev. Fr Markose Abraham (Joshi), who was ordained a Kassisso by Patriarch His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka- I Iwas on 21 November 2010 at the Patriarchal Monastery in Damascus, will henceforth serve the church in Malankara.
