KOCHI: The three-day meeting of the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council (KCBC) will begin at the Pastoral Orientation Centre on Monday. The meeting includes the interaction with the laymen representatives.
It is for the first time that a meeting of the laity representatives with Church leaders being held together with the KCBC meeting. KCBC president Joshua Mar Ignatius will preside over the meeting. Laity Commission secretary Mar Mathew Anikuzhikattil will deliver the keynote address.
Papers on different subjects will be presented by the laity representatives. The leaders of various Christian denominations other than the Catholic Church such as Orthodox, Jacobite and CSI will take part in the different sessions of the meeting.
The meeting will discuss the common issues faced by all the denominations. The secretaries of 18 commissions and 10 departments of the KCBC will present report at the meeting of the Catholic bishops.
